Hehe, in fact there already is a http://groups.google.com/group/jquery-plugins but the last post is more than a year old. The problem with having multiple lists (which jQuery already has - jquery-ui, jquery-dev, jquery-ui-dev) is sometimes people do not know where to post their questions and in most cases would cross-post the same question which could get annoying!
I do exactly the same thing as Rene - scann and 'mark as read' with a threaded client.
