Well, that is very strange. It works with jQuery 1.2.6, but not with 1.3.1. Hmm. Will have to investigate.
(and it doesn't work at all on Konqueror).
I don't have Konqueror, but I'll take your word for it. Wonder if it's related to the other issue.
