Hi. First, make sure events are attached to elements and firing ( $
(".sidebar a").mouseover(function(){ alert(this) }; or smth like
this). Second, there are nice method called hover:
http://docs.jquery.com/Events/hover#overout which combines mouseover
and mouseout.
