Mike, Click Page -> Compatibility View Settings Uncheck the option "include updated websites from Microsoft" Try this page, where I first noticed it: http://corp.americanexpress.com/gcs/travel/service/personalservice.aspx Click on the globe to trigger the popup. It bombs. Now go into IE7 compatibility mode and try again. Your test page works. I'm not sure why, but one difference I see is that Amex uses Xhmtl 1.0 strict.
