That's quite a loaded statement. jQuery is actually optimized for IE as it's still the largest share of the browser market. So jQuery is not inherently slower on IE than on other browsers. Now, having said that, it's possible that YOUR code could be slower on IE than on Firefox, but as you didn't post an example link we can't test it, or examine your code.
