[jQuery] jquery.cascade - query about match param

thw question about this: match: function(selectedValue) { return
this.When == selectedValue; }
1) where does the 'selectedValue' come from? I didnt find any ref
anywhere.
2) how could I change it ot 'text' instead of 'value'
