in IE8 choose Tools > Compatibility View to trigger IE7 mode.

definitely check out that stray comma Nikola mentioned, as I've seen
IE choke on those lots of times before.

If you really want to uninstall IE8, you can probably do a system
restore back to a date before you installed IE8.
