The multi-column look is more of an HTML/CSS issue than jQuery. Use Firebug to inspect the code of the page you linked and you'll see how they achieved multiple columns. You can also refer to http://www.alistapart.com/articles/multicolumnlists/ to see how to create multi-column lists.
