Works for me in IE 7
When you say "no results", do you mean, an error?? or just that
$("input[name=name]").val() is returning an empty string??

The input box is:
<input type="text" name="name" value="" />
The jQuery code is:
$("input[name=name]").val();
And no results.
The problem exists on MSIE8, but I think to remember it also is in
MSIE7..
On firefox it works great.
