With your HTML, you can do it two simple ways:

By classname (don't forget the .):
$(".checkbox").click();

Or name of the fields:
$("input[name=product_id]").click();


If you use:
$("product_id")

It's looking for an HTML element <product_id>, which, you don't have
such on your page.
