Hi there, you actually found a pretty severe bug, thanks!
I just fixed it in SVN, if you checkout revision 1098 (see http://code.google.com/p/jquery-ui/source/browse/trunk/ui/ui.draggable.js), the problem shouldn't happen anymore.
