jquery ui - 1.5.3 and 1.6rc6

i have a basic jquery ui tabs page, see below:

but when i call the pages such as example1.htm the jquery behide it
doesnt work unless i am in IE.
Example1.htm :

I have no problems with it in IE6/7/8 but any other browser and it
just loads the tabs without any functionality.
Any idea?
