I am attempting to implement a windowing type system via the dialogs. In Firefox (3.5.3) the rendering performance of a dialog seems to be inversely proportional to its size in Firefox. A large dialog feels very choppy when dragging it around.
You can see an example by going to http://jqueryui.com/demos/dialog/ Expand the dialog to be very large, and drag it around by the handle. There is a large amount of visual chop. This visual degradation is exaggerated even further with multiple dialogs open. In Chrome (3.0.195.21) the performance seems to be acceptable even with multiple dialogs open. In Firefox it borders on unusable due to the extreme choppiness while dragging large dialogs around. Is this simply a case of browser performance or is there something I can do to speed up the performance in Firefox? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jQuery UI" group.
