Thanks a lot for this post! I was experiencing the same exact problem as Tiago. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why it wasn't working.
Is this 62.5% rating standard? I've never seen this before in all my years of web design and development. Fortunately, I designed my application so that the font-size of every element has already been explicitly defined in classes so the 62.5% on the body didn't change anything.
