Hi all, I've got a page that puts together a horizontally scrollable gallery that contains draggable LI elements, an editor window for dropping items from the gallery that is sortable, and a trashcan that accepts items dragged from the gallery or the editor and is defined as a droppable area.
Basically, the sortable area does not sort smoothly whether accepting items from the draggable area or when sorting within the sortable area. The gap in the sortable jumps around unpredictably and doesn't seem to bear much relation to how the draggable is overlapping the sortable, or the location of the mouse (for varying settings of tolerance). It even changes when the draggable is in position but is moved vertically by small amounts, jumping from 'gap' to 'no gap'. I've tried combinations of settings including tolerance and setting placeholders and am spending far too much time getting it working, when I imagine it will be something quite basic. This is my first app using jQueryUI so it's quite possible I've made a basic error. The code is only available on a sandbox server. the JS needs tidying a little, but is reable. If you're interesting in helping me out, it might be useful to look at the 1 minute CamStudio clip I've just uploaded to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ul4jbu5Fqs Otherwise the sandbox server is: http://65.19.134.36/ user: myself pass: 111111 And select account 'sortable_help' and go to 'manage' If anyone can give me any info that might help, I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks very much. Mark... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "jQuery UI" group.
