Hi,
I use a $('#content').hide() (where 'content' is the main DIV) in the
beginning of the page (not in a function, but just in a <script>...</
script>. Then, at the bottom (after </body>), I call setTimeout("$
('#content').fadeIn(4000)", 250). This gives me an effect as you
describe it.
