Hi, Currently in our application we are using thin driver to connect to oracle database. We need to use some packages which only use OCI8 classes. If I try to use them, I get error: Unable to connect, url is null. These packages are used by other application which do not use JRun and are working fine. I have included, Oracle 8.1.6 classes in java.classpath and java.path in jsm.properties. Version of JRun is 2.3.3 build 153. It's free and open source. It's on the Allaire Developer's Exchange at http://devex.allaire.com/Developer/Gallery/Java.cfm The main idea behind it is to convert servlets.properties and rules.properties into industry standard web.xml files. Web.xml was the natural evolution of those two files, so there are some pretty direct correlates. If anyone is interested in modifying JRunPropsConverter so that it converts more 2.3.3 properties files into JRun 3.0 global or local.properties, please jump in and send your changes to me or post them on the Dev Exchange. Another cool idea would be to convert JRun 2.3.3 properties files into other vendors' properties, or even have the JRunPropsConverter take some more arguments on the command line and output a war file with the web.xml and all your servlets, jars, jsps and beans in the final war. If anyone has more ideas of utilities we could build or _any_ individuals could contribute to help make using JRun easier, please speak out and share your ideas.
