as an addendum,

check out what they are doing over at www.orionserver.com with orion.  from
the experience i've had with it, it's much easier to work with than jrun
when trying to follow the specs.  alas, their documentation is even worse
than jrun's so at this point so we won't be switching... yet... :)  however,
it's a good example of an app server that's trying to stick as close as
possible to spec.  take a look at how they're doing things.
