Given that Maven can conform to the directory layout I suggested (apparently
with pom modifications, no plugins), I would *like* to see us use that
directory if possible.  If the team doesn't want that, then fine, I'll deal
with it.  But I'd like to hold a vote on it after people have had the
ability to review it - it looks like a few folks are busy for the holidays
and aren't able to chime in...
