>While monitoring the situation from the task force operations center, a
>message indicator chimed on Watson's terminal. He had a message.
>To: Mr. Watson
>From: Selaan-nop, Special Assistant Foreign Ministry
>You will be granted special permission to cross the border, as it seems
you
>have already done so. You will refrain from sending landing parties to
the
>surface of the planet Xendo. Doing so will constitute a most serious
breach
>of our security, and a serious diplomatic incident. A detachment of ships
>will rendezvous with you near or about the planet Xendo. You will wait
with
>them until the cruiser Hyperos arrives. A diplomatic officer will be
aboard to
>resolve your breach of our soverign territory.
Watson acknowledged the message and turned to Bedru, "Admiral...they are
serious about not being on the planet when they arrive."
{OOC: GM posting for Randye}
She came over to where Watson was sitting, and he showed her the message.
She read it twice, just to be sure she got everything from it.
"That would appear to be so, Mr Watson. It also appears as if they did
not find the timing of our message very amusing. It is probably safe to
assume that their ships will be here sooner than later. Perhaps you should
check in with Captain Connor about that diplomatic reception room he
mentioned earlier. It may be wise to have it ready and waiting." she said
after readign the diplomatic communication.

Admiral Bedru then turns her attention to the operation on the planet and to
Mr. Nash.
"Inspector Nash, may I interrupt you for a moment?"

"The Ramesar have responded to Mr. Watson's letter regarding our crossing
into disputed space. It was about what we had expected. They are rather
annoyed to say the least, and directly forbade us from being on the planet.
Mr. Watson and I both agree that they will be coming soon to watch over us,
so it may be a good idea to hurry along the landing party. Just in case."
