While the debrief continues...
The Starfleet task force that was to back up the USS Protector has arrived just
outside of Ramesar space, and has signaled the Protector that they are standing by for
orders and are holding position just over the border in Federation space.
This event was noticed by the Ramesar monitoring stations, and has already been
relayed to the ships holding station with the Protector. The same ships that are
guarding the planet Xendo from unwanted landing parties. They have gone to a higher
stage of alert, and started to prepare for a fight.
That was noticed by the bridge crew of the Protector, and they have reacted by
sounding General Quarters- Red Alert.
As this is unfolding, a group of ships appears on sensors from behind the pair of
Ramesar ships. The group includes 3 ships, a large vessel- presumably a cruiser
carrying the diplomatic party - and two escorts.
All of this has been reported to the group in the special operations room where the
JSOC team is currently debriefing.
