>That was noticed by the bridge crew of the Protector, and they have reacted by >sounding General Quarters- Red Alert.

Watson jumped noticeably at the Red Alert...but tried to hide it rather unsuccessfully.

>As this is unfolding, a group of ships appears on sensors from behind the pair >of Ramesar ships. The group includes 3 ships, a large vessel- presumably a >cruiser carrying the diplomatic party - and two escorts.

>All of this has been reported to the group in the special operations room >where the JSOC team is currently debriefing.

"Admiral-I believe we need to get the Diplomats' attention...now."

Caimlyn though the statement was an understatement. He was finding the Ramesar to be a most interesting species. They were even more confrontational than the Klingons, and that was definitely saying something. They proved to be quite hostile considering that condition of the officers they had found planetside, but the fact that they were still alive was a surprise in itself. He was interested to see how the next few minutes would play out.
Steven had a bad feeling something extreme was going to happen.

The Ramesar, despite Watson's briefing at the outset of the mission, were a complete unknown. Xenophobic, and hiding something, and they had apparently changed from when Mr. Watson had been among them. This means the people on this mission were starting from Square One. Never a good thing.

But there was still the question. Exactly WHAT were they hiding? ANd why did they not want the people from the South Hampton on the planet's surface that they were just orbiting?

However, since the Admiral and Mr. Watson were busy trying to deal with the current situation, he thought it was not wise to bring it up, but he made a note of it to bring up later.

Liridian out.
