The Ramesar welcoming party has arrived, or at least the first part of it. They acted tough, as expected, and demanded that no one go to the planet's surface. Also as expected.
The team is back up on the Protector, and is ready to debrief. The debrief was actually interrupted by the arrival of the Ramesar vessels. During the initial conversation, Liridian had scanned the ships, and found out a few interesting bits. The Debrief was short. Commander Liridian revealed the finding of the uniform fragment, and Mr. Watson confirmed that it was in fact Ramesar in origin. In fact, Watson stated that it was the uniform of a Major, most likely infantry. Liridian also showed what he had found when he scanned the Ramesar ships that were holding position near by. They were small ships, of unimpressive configuration. What caught his attention was the shielded areas on the ships that he could not scan. They could either be extra weapons or propulsion, or just cargo bays. There was not way to tell. To make things even more complicated, the Federation Task force that was to back upo the Protector had arrived and were holdign position outside of disputed "Ramesar space". This sent the pair of craft orbiting Xendo, the planet in question, to general quarters, most likely preparing for a fight. Noticing the change in the attitude of the chaperones, Captain Carter brought the Protector to General Quarters as well. The great news was that a trio of ships coming for the direction of the heart of Ramesar space were now approaching. While they were at the limits of sensor range, they were identified as a heavy crusier and a pair of escorts. Most likely the diplomatic party. Here we are. Game on...
