With things looking bad, diplomacy was given a chance to calm things down, and it
nearly failed. The patrol craft were just about to open fire after a heated exchange
between their senior officer and the Captain of the Protector. Truth be told, the
Ramesar weener (ooc: take that any way you want to...) was asking for it.

However, for whatever damage it did to relations for the moment it bought something
very special and precious. Time. Time for the trio of Ramesar craft to get closer.
Time for a new authority to take control.

Suspicisions had been correct, the three ship detachment was carrying the official
diplomatic delegation. The delegation that would have final authority over the
situation from the Ramesar perspective.

The tension was broken when communications were detected from the lead cruiser to the
patrol craft, who very quickly powered down weapons and moved away from the Protector.
Then another call came in, it was Watson's counterpart in the Ramesar Foreign
Ministry.

After several minutes of diplomatic wrangling, things seemed better. The Ramesar
Diplomat admitted to have the crew of the South Hampton held as prisioners on their
homeworld, and that they were relatively safe and secure. He also made the formal
charge that they were being held as invaders in a military prision facility, exact
whereabouts - the capital city's garrison. (OOC: hint to team). He also relayed a
message from the ruling body, that the Protector and her crew were invited to the
homeworld to peaceably resolve this situation, and to answer the charges of violating
their soverign territory, espionage, and to explain their acts of war.

With little choice Bedru accepts, under the condition that the Protector be allowed to
have her task corce join them. That being out of the question, they agree to a one
ship escort.

With the Protector in orbit it was time to get to work...

{Nash, team what do you want to do first?}
