[OOC: I will have inconsistent access between now and the end of next week. I am
currently away from home and will have final exams next week.]

With the Protector in orbit it was time to get to work...

The groups was sitting in their usual conference area to discuss the recent turn of
events. In some ways, things could have been worse ... they could have been blown to
atoms.

Caimlyn and the others were definitely going to have a great deal of a challenge to
get to their people planetside. "Boss, are we allowed to go planetside at all?"

While Michael waited for the decision, he turned to Maggie. "Let's get a visual on
that city garrison," he said. "And then, since they couldn't tell we were
scanning them before, let's try it again. Quick scans first of the garrison, then
later, if they don't bitch, more detailed scans. Let's find out people, and let's
learn the layout of the place."

Maggie nodded. "On it," she told him.

The screen flashed, then displayed the garrison. It was located just north of the
central portion, as if the city was once much smaller, and grew to encircle it long
ago. The compound was actually quite simple in it's lay out. An octagonal walled
compound with watch towers at every point. There
were three gates, a main on the north side and two others on the southeast and south
west sides. Outside of the main gate sported guard "shacks" on either side of the
gate to house on duty sentries. Estimating on the size of them, they could house
about 10 soldiers a piece. The other gates had similar structures, but much smaller.
Inside the walls, stood a single
building that was in the shape of three diamonds joined together. (OOC: think the
Mitsubishi logo, with a larger joined area.) The entire exterior of the complex was
made of stone, thick stone. It was quite impressive looking, yet some how less than
modern. From the hurried scan, the garrison was
manned by roughly 1200. Above ground the main building was 5 stories tall and
extended another 4 below ground. It appeared as if the cell blocks were on the lowest
level, but just who was in it was not determined. Metal alloys were also detected on
the inside, and in the gate doors make up. The complex was powered by both solar
plant inside the compound and a reactor
beneith.

Steven studied the scans carefully, formulating questions at the same time.

[OOC: Retconning. Apologies for making a mistake here... Thank you GM-Salmi for
correcting me. anyway... CORRECTION!]

"Is there any way for us to locate the South Hampton's crew? And will we be able to
get them out if we do manage to locate them?"

Protector's liason officer (the XO) added, "These are limited scans, so we should not
read too much into them. If there are not any serious protests, we will try for more
scans, but considering how touchy the Ramesar are... That is probably why Mr. Nash
requested a quick scan, so to appear accidential. But from what little we have here,
I would say that beaming is an option, but it would take a while. Even with all
transporters working, we could not take the entire crew of the South Hampton up in
less than 20 or 30 cycles, at roughly 3 to 6 seconds per cycle. As to locate them.
With further scans we should be able to see if where they are if they are in that
garrison as we were told."

Afterwards, he turned to Watson. "Mr. Watson, as our group's Ramesar expert, I'm
wondering if you might have some insight on how they fight, as well as what sort of
state of mind they may have regarding such things. Would they be the sort to fight
first and sort things out later, or is there a way to talk to them before they try to
blow us out of the sky?"

[reaction?]

Liridian out.
