Roy, thanks for your suggestion, but I tried that.
I have the Generic sonar Surface defined under Options / Controllers-Surfaces, and I have Act learn checked under Options. Still, when I go to the remote control menu and select "controller", the value never changes from 0 no matter which volume slider I use on my Roland RD300GX keyboard. Maybe these volume sliders don't send out midi signals. I'll have to read more of the Roland manual. Fortunately, I can control the automation by using the pitch wheel on my Roland keyboard, so at least something works for automation. thanks anyway. --Pete -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Roy Shtupler Sent: Monday, July 05, 2010 12:43 AM To: JSonar -- JAWS Scripts for Sonar list Subject: Re: [Jsonar] Using the Envelope tool with Jsonar in the remote control dialog , choose "controllers" , then press the Learn button , now move a slider on your midi control surface; the edit field should reflect what was just received. cheers Roy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Peter Torpey" <[email protected]> To: "'JSonar -- JAWS Scripts for Sonar list'" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 05, 2010 6:23 AM Subject: Re: [Jsonar] Using the Envelope tool with Jsonar > Ah, after a bunch of playing around, I finally interpreted what you said > (and the Sonar documentation was trying to describe) correctly and got the > effect I wanted! > > I was able to control the amount of effect using automation and the pitch > wheel on my midi keyboard.
