Check on screen with the Jaws cursor. Some times the step record dialog box
will randumly open. This would be good to put into the troubleshooting part
of the readme.

Subject: [Jsonar] jaws not reading fields and list boxes in sonar 8.53
withjSonar

Hi everyone. having some weirdness with jaws 10, sonar 8.53, and jSonar.

Everything was working fine the other night but since yesterday, some weird
stuff is happening.

For some reason, when you go into text fields, like in the insert tempo or
go to time dialogue, jaws just says blank. And when you go into the layouts
dialogue box, in the list, it just says no selected item. This only happens
in sonar.

Also, I am getting the weird delay with soft synths again.

Now, here is what I've done before anyone asks...

I've updated J sonar and the hot spot sets, ran the setup wizard again, I am
using hsc 197, jaws is up to date, reinstalled the registry keys, turned
jaws off then back on, restarted the machine, ran a registry cleaner, etc.
nothing makes a difference. This started happening with the previous
snapshot of jSonar, however, the day before it was working fine. I checked
my display settings and everything is as it should be.

I did get an edirol 1x1 USB midi interface which solved the latency issue I
was having. However, now it's acting the same as it was before when I was
using the project mix for midi. And yes, I did go in and deselect the
external midi ports in the midi devices dialogue box.

Now, I do have a western digital my book 1tb external USB hard drive. I
know that for some reason, it screws up the nvdia display driver if you
start the machine with the drive plugged in. usually I turn the machine on,
and when jaws starts, quit jaws, plug in the drive, wait until auto play
comes up, start jaws, then get rid of it. until now, that worked fine. but
this time, it's not helping. I even restarted the machine with the drive
unplugged and launched sonar and there was no difference.

Has anyone else had this sort of thing happen? Any solutions?

Thanks,

Cameron.
