You do not need seperat harddrives, but it is recommended, especially if
you create large project with lot of wave / audio tracks. For example, I
successfully use one hdd for everything.
Of corse, faster processor = better processor. Try to obtain the best
possible processor, but dual core in my opinion is minimum to start...
