Still digging for the free answer I see,
well, teaching you the basics of electrical audio connectivity is definitely beyond the scope of the jsonar list 'smile'.

I am on this list because I enjoy contributing to the jsonar project, and am a regular donator.

When's the last time you donated to jsonar?

Vic is someone I respect very much,
I consider him a friend,
and colleague and professional in every way.

That's why I'm here.

Again,
your lack of grace, and give me the answer,
and dis-respect for people who would teach you,
is very much not a good witness.
So is that entitlement mentallity.

If I have gotten a few students from this list, well,
us instructors are worth our hire too, and my students appreciate what they get for very modest rates, a patient, knowledgeable person to take them through the ropes which might never get accomplished by meerly lurking on email lists, trying to harvest that way.

There is nothing wrong with the free exchange of information, but it is up to the choice of the person sharing what they choose to
share, and what they choose to charge for.

Bet you don't do gigs for free very often.

Well, same deal.

And every instructor on here who does this will know exactly what I'm talking about.

I know it's hard to be green and not know stuff you need to know,
to do recording efectively, we all had to start someplace.

And there are plenty of resources out there for you to learn if you want to do it on the cheap.

So show a little grace which is befiting of our common faith,
and appreciation for what you do get off this list.
And when you are gently encouraged to atend tutoring,
comments llike go figure are a slap in the face to someone who's already tried to help you and teach you stuff.

Boy, it is not your right or entitlement and trying to discredit me just makes you look bad.

Haven't you read most list rules out there now a days? Most of them usually
don't want advertising of business, work or in your case "classes/tutoring".
Maybe once or twice with list owners permission, but not every breath you
take. Did you get owners permission to post OT advertising?

>These clowns
OK, at least I know your fire/flame throwing isn't personal to just me.
Since everybody knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that you think I am a
leaching clown, why don't you name off everybody else you think is a
leaching clown (since you just implied more than one)? Well, ok then just
imply who the other clown(s) are. Would be nicer than what you did/do to me
most of the time.

>that continuously ask questions on here expecting everything for nothing,
With most things that can be answered on list, why don't you just give it up
and answer them? The original question of "What are the rules of going from
balanced to unbalanced ins?" I'm sure can be answered on list. It probably
doesn't take a technical expert to understand them all. Besides, since most
people are "smart" to you, give them the answer in a list email so it can
help the world and prove the "smart ones" wrong if you are so confident that
they aren't so smart after all. Besides, is the reason you are on this list
is to get more students?

>then cop a tude when a gentle suggestion is made that a little tutoring
time might be better served to get
>several concepts figured out that would take forever on an email list,
well, that's not unreasonable at all.
Probably not if it was done the way others on the list work their work into
the list traffic. Besides, I really wonder how reputable a business is when
it offers me a cracked copy of Sonar 4 or 6. Unless you have stopped that
practice since the last time we talked on the phone. Probably not.

>YOu guys should be thankful that people like Phil, DJX,
>and myself will take the time to answer your questions, maybe you'd
>like to go answer all of them yourself if it's going to be that way.
When it comes to your answers, I'm sure most of us do go elsewhere.

>So you mr. Smart, show some grace and good manners.
>And be glad you have a resource like this to leech off of.
Isn't it normal to ask questions on a public list and then get answers?
"Lets take it to class" isn't going to help someone looking at the public
archives any.
