That doesn't make much sense. I got an announcement from their store that said it was an entirely new version. I.E. you had to pay retail for it unless you haven't bought Sonar 8.5 yet. "buy Sonar 8.5 Producer and get X1 Producer for free. Buy 8.5 Studio and get X1 studio for free"
