I have made an unattended xp dvd
where I put more than 3000 drivers so that it works in every pc. I
have used a driver remover tool also so that, it can remove all
unneeded drivers. I have included JAWS in it so that, only you have
to do is, put the dvd in the dvd drive, power up your pc,
after aproximet 10 seconds press any key,
then, wait for at least 40 mins until you hear your pc saying
"jaws for windows is ready!"
I have included some other softwares also like winamp, thunderbird, etc.

How do you install with narrator? I saw some stuff from 2003 on how
to do it, but never did figure out how to get it to work. The only
thing windows might have a problem with is the sound card so no
screen reader for me.

Ah, installling xp isn't so bad.
Done it dozens of times on many kinds of machines with no sighted
help.
the only time you might run in to problems is if you have some sort
of sata controlers or even ide controlers windows doesn't know about,
and they need text mode drivers, but deployment tools like nlite can
get you around that hurdle.
YOu just need a good unattend.txt file,
there are a couple ways of doing it, from a cd, or the hd,
I like the hd, and I use a speech synth for part of the process,
everyone doesn't have that option, but I think Phil even has a good
unattend file on his sight somewhere, along with instructions, and
there's lot of info about this on the web too.
Just check your drive controlers, and if they are standard ide, or
sata working in ahci mode, your good to go, and if you have a sound
card windows knows about, you can get all your stuff in with
narrator, I use a cheap generic usb sound card for this part of the
process.
I know it was a little scary the first time i did it, but what a
rush, and now I do it for sighted people, and get tremendous pleasure
out of under-cutting the thieves in the computer shops around here
who charge the earth just for a clean up and window's install.

Sounds like you have some underlying issues on your computer,
this should not normally happen on a healthy system, or one with
beefy enough specs to run sonar properly.
No offense, but aren't you limping along on a very marginal
system doing this stuff, or have you upgraded?
I just don't want others thinking this is a dangerous routine,
because it's not, it's just a search function to see what files
are still associated with projects, and if you do it with a
particular projecdt folder, it pretty much stays inside that
folder.
Your system isn't typical, and since you've said things like it
takes a long time to load dimension pro, etc, then if your
already on a marginal system, then this could create instability
issues, and cause freezes while the system parses to disk
desperately trying to get resources.
I will notice a little sluggishness and loss of speech sometimes
doing this process but it always comes back, and I've used this
feature hundreds of times with no problem.
This also happens with standard windows search functions,
sometimes, anyway, just thinking to give perspective here, not
bashing anyone's tools, because we use what we can afford and
what we have.

I notice that when deleting or undoing recordings from tracks
sonar still keeps the old junk audio files in the audio folder
of the project. I notice this because I would have a project
consisting of 20 tracks but somehow I would end up with 60 ore
more audio files in the audio folder. . Do you know if there is
a way we can differentiate between the junk audio files from
the files that are actually kept as part of the project so that
one would be able to dlete them? It takes up a lot of my
harddrive space and when moving the project from one computer
to another it takes long to copy. I'm afraid of dleting any of
the files for I may delete a good one. Thank you.
