Hi, Phil, So does this mean that if you bought an electronic mixing desk you could hook it up to Sonar and reroute the on screen faders to sliders on the desk?

Then, if you press the applications key, you can arrow up to the MIDI learn box. If you have a MIDI device installed then, you can tab over to the "learn button, press that then, move a slider on the MIDI controller. That will have mapped it to the volume in Sonar. you could then, use the slider on your MIDI device to move the volume in Sonar. This is useful if for example, you wanted to record automation on a fader in Sonar and wanted to use a slider to say, turn down the volume on a track/bus. This is easier than using your computers keyboard. Does most effect plug ins also support Midi Learn? I also would like to use the knob and faders to control Eq. Ratha From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of D!J!X! As long as you don't change the preset on your controller, or if you do always bring it back, that same slider or knob should work on your synth each time... Only thing is that not all synths support midi learn, but most do. If so, will some one give some tip on setting it up to work with my Control Surface to control fx and soft synths. I've been reading up alot on my Control Surface reference manual, sonar help files, and even did quite a bit of researching with know luck. Please help if you can. Thank you. Ratha PS.. Main part of spending a lot of money on this is so that I can also control my fx and sof synths in adition to mixing and stuff. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Find JSonar and Sonar FAQs, articles, guides and downloads at jsonar.org.
