Hi, to all Omnisphere users, I'd really appreciate your feedback on what the most important features of Omnisphere are, that, if possible, could be made accessible. Now you could think that's a flakey statement, but I'll explain. Omnisphere is so vast and potentially complex, depending on how deep you dig, that I personally think it's necessary to concentrate on features that have the most potential for access. HSC isn't a program with infinat keystrokes, so depending on which way you go, available keystrokes can soon become limited. For example, all the 3 browsers, along with the main page, have steppers to move through patches and they're all independent, meaning 1 keystroke can't be assigned to the feature in all 3 browsers and the main page...plus opening and closing the browsers can take up 4 keystrokes...add on the keystroke to read patch names, audition patches etc and you can see how things can soon get limited when it comes to keystrokes.
Anyway, I started and tried the available Omnisphere HSC sets, which I was really appreciative of, and found myself wanting to start from scratch with a new set with keystrokes and structure I personally had in my head. That's taking nothing away from Darren who did the current ones at all, but I found when getting the program, I needed to create my own set to give me what I needed, as well as justifying my purchahse. So, please let me know what you feel are the main things you would like to access. I have my own ideas and I'm not far away from finishing what I personally need at this moment, but it would be nice to know what others think, rather than what they are able to currently access. I currently have all 3 browsers covered with up/down selection, automatic announcement of patches, along with audition, category scroling, search, sort, shuffle, library select, tags, closing of each browsers window, almost finished full access to the main page, arpeggio access and presets, navigation to all main pages, edit, FX etc, basic source and target routing in the edit page and most exciting of all, full access to the orb..(just to add, Omnisphere isn't going to be 100% HSC driven, that's gonna be impossible, so use of the jaws cursor will be necessary for a lot of use outside of the HSC access). The orb is absolutely amazing and possibilities here are endless with the "dice" features and cursor movement on the orb itself. This access, is one of the reasons why I'm asking peoples feedback, simply because we can achieve so much with the orb, that it would make the complex task of spotting up the edit page almost redundant, from the fact access to the edit page is so dynamic and access would be compromised massively...never mind the keystroke problem and HSC...where as the orb can satisfy virtually all your sound shaping needs very easily!
