How about avoiding HTML forms? Use an Applet instead and do thorough
checking. Watch out for the Mac, where Netscape doesn't support JSK1.1
events properly. IE 4.X works nicely on the Mac, though.
Otherwise, you can do some fancy JavaScripting client-side to check the
input, but don't count too much on older versions of the browsers
(especially IE3.0).
