As many sites do these days, you could provide the option to the user to
have his/her login information saved in a cookie.  If the cookie exists you
use it.  If it doesn't you require a login.

Of course this could be a security risk if other people have access to
his/her computer, but making it an option puts the decision in his/her
hands, as opposed to your's.
