hi all!
I have recently joined this forum and this is my first mail .I have recently started working on JSP.What i want to know is where should we allocate and deallocate memory for objects which are common accross all instances of servlets resultant from compilation of JSP i.e i want something analogous to init() and destroy() methods of servlets.please correct me if i am wrong in thinking that constructor of a bean is a replacement for init() in servlets. In case of Data Base Connection I have allways been instantiating the DriverManager in the constructror of bean that i am using in the jsp.But i didn't know where to release or deallocate the instatiated obects.I have come toknow that when jsp gets compiled into a servlet it has methods like jsp_init(),jsp_service() and jsp_destroy(), what i want to know is how and where to specify if we want any code to go into init() and destroy() methods?Any help in regarding this would be very helpful.Thanking you in advance. regards,
