Please allow me to add a few thoughts.

Well, before you decide the platform/environment for
the transformed application, you have to take
deployment issues into consideration. If the target
server is NT/IIS, then yes, I agree with LynchWu that
ASP is a straightforward solution and the
transformation effort will be gratly reduced.

However, if the deployment env is diff, then
Servlets/Jsp, would deserve a decent thought, I would
suggest. In fact, a combination of both, thereby
utilising each one of them to their full potential.
This would also involve scaling issues and ofcourse,
the audience ie if it will be a internet or intranet
application.

Let me know if you want to delve further in the issue,
unless you have already decided about it.
