WML is just a markup language for WAP devices. But You can use JSP for WAP.
Taking care of issues like the content type.
You hav to  use following encoding :text/vnd.wap.wml; charset=ISO-8859-1
There may be some issues specific to some servers, used for WML
conversion/development.
