Bookmarks go into the <netscape root>\Users\default\bookmark.htm file so
take a look at that and check it is not read only and whether the bookmarks
are actually going into it.
To completely clean out netscape delete nsreg.dat from your windows
directory, delete the entire 'Users' tree and restart netscape.
Netscape is, imho, a 'dead' product- IE is much better in almost every area.
