Hi Istvan,
There is no guaranteed way of explicitly dropping a
reference(object).But you can always maximise the
chances of the concerned object to be
collected/dropped in the next GC run by providing a
finalize() method for the concerned object.You may
also consider setting the reference to null once done
with the object. eg oject1=null
