Hi Jeff,

This will return the browser type
request.getHeader("user-agent");

 You can also get the browser value using JavaScript .
<script>
document.write(navigator.appName);
</script>

Subject:  Detecting Browser Version

Hi,

Is there a way to detect the browser version from the request object so that you
can generate the appropriate HTML in your JSP?

Thanks, Jeff Ryan
