J323 Engine

The J323 engine is Java software for an important part of an H.323
Terminal: the functions for
Call Control and Media Control. It offers an object-oriented, standard Java
API, so that
developers can write their own user interface or can integrate the
functionality of an H.323
Terminal into their own application. This API is the Java Telephony API
(JTAPI).

ARF

ARF is a set of Java servlets that administer, execute and migrate
user-submitted applications on networked computing devices, allowing
them to roam from one computer to another at mouse click.

ARF is a set of services implemented in Java servlets (the cgi-bin
equivalent in Java), which run
on the web server. End user applications such as notepad and spreadsheet
are submitted to
the ARF server through a browser such as Netscape or IE.

Updated Technologies:

ExcelAccessor with Source

The ExcelAccessor bean suite can be used to visually program a Java
application to access and
modify the contents of a Microsoft Excel worksheet. This bean suite
consists of three non-visual
beans that can be easily wired with other beans in various IDE's to create
applications. The
ExcelAccessor beans can be used to access the following properties of a
range in a worksheet:
Value, Formula, Format and Note text.

interested in learning
more about Java Incremental development with Ant and JUnit.

In this column, Malcolm Davis explains how a small change in your software
development habits
can have a huge payoff in the quality of your software. Incorporate unit
testing into your development
process and see how much time and effort you save in the long run. This
article explores the benefits
of unit testing, in particular using Ant and JUnit, with code samples.
