I use servlets for at least two things other than rendering HTML:
* Rendering binary resources (like a dynamically constructed
graph). JSPs work best for textual resources
* Performing the business logic for my app, and then forwarding
to a JSP page for the presentation part. See the Struts
Framework <http://jakarta.apache.org/struts> for a full framework
that leverages this idea.
