I am also having similar problem, what I need to do is convert a String(of
over 4000 characters) to a Clob and insert the value in Oracle's Clob
column.
I can read the data from that column using resultset.getClob() method, but I
can't insert/update that column. Has anybody did something like this before?

I really appreciate your help.

TIA

Regards,
Rao.

P.S :I have gone thru doc's at technet.oracle.com , all that site has the
examples for BLOB but not CLOB.I have tried using rs.setCharacterStream()
method. It even fails if the limit exceeds 4000 characters.

I'm not sure if they're something here, but.. try technet.oracle.com.
They've got some good JDBC examples, and probably some CLOB ones.

Later,
Roy
