The IMO easiest and best solution for sending emails is using custom tags.
There are several taglibs available that have this capability. check
http://www.jsptags.com and I think there's something similar in the taglib
examples of Orion (http://www.orionserver.com)
it allows you to send emails from a JSP like this
<mail:send to="<%toAddress%>" from="[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
subject="confirmation">
Dear <%=name%>
We blablabla in which you can use everything you normally do in JSP like <%
%> code and <%= %>
</mail:send>
How much easier do you want it?
