This code isn't OK at all!!!
Still the same remarkls:

- It's absolutely NOT thread safe. Avoid using <%! %> tags.
- Exception handling has a meaning. Never do
   catch (SQLException e){  }
- Close the Resultset, statements and Connections properly!!!
