Frank:
the exception is telling you that the JDBC driver
cannot connect to your database.
The message 'Failed ... socket' comes from your JDBC
driver.
You have to check if the user, pass and url for the
connection are correct. If so check if the database is
up and running. And don't forget to check the network
status (is the database server recheable?)
