This is a Javascript problem. Has nothing to do with JSP.

I find http://irt.org a useful website for Javascript help.

Subject: Browser Incompatibility

Hi all,
I am having a problem of browser incompatibility. In my application,
I am opening a new window using window.open() function. In the new window I
am selecting some values, on click of a button, I want these selected values
to pass back to parent window and that new window should close. I am using
opener.window.document.fieldname.value, for passing the values and
self.close() after that to close the window. It is working file with IE, but
when comes to Netscape, neither it is passing the values back to parent nor
it is closing. What could be the problem with this? Any work arounds?
Regards
