First of all can I just make it clear that my reasoning
behind the question was as follows :-

I have collected 120mgbytes of software from all over the place.
You may have noticed that I was told by Cressoft.pk that you will find
everything you are looking for up there.

My reply was don't tell me where to find what.Hence the question
about setting up Apache and tomcat.

I can't make a head or tail of any of this. I don't know the
target audience for a lot of this software too so I phrased my question
as I am confused what is the difference B/W this and that. Hoping to get an
overview.

I noticed that Shuja related to what "I wrote I am sure you have been
here before". (Real time - CPU , RAM , DISK , Cable connected to a port
(Ip address and port no).

Amine - you're right too but you have a background in business applications
whilst shuja has a background in low level.

>From what shuja has said to me (Orielly Series) appeals to me too
because I find it is easier to understand the detail implementation.

Actually I have both books but couldn't understand the architecture
from Ed Roman's book or what one is trying to do.
I was confident I would get an explanation if had I phrased the question the
right way from the right person.
I immediately recognised Shuja related to my disposition.

I then went on to flip through the o'reilly book to find out the terminology
used.
Commercial experience in EJBs or Java has nothing
to do with it.

Ripan claimed we have commercial experience actually commercial experience
for some people have nothing to do with. Just commercial
experience and understanding is enough for a few of us then it is just
matter of appliance details.

I am glad there was somebody else apart from myself who related to
my question and disposition and was kind enough to answer.
Once again Thank you.

The explanation about the site. I was just saying you have gone
too level for my requirement shuja ( rise in dynamic memory which bit talks
to each other ) I know this is a business application
I need a higher overview of the components which go into EJBs.
Amine understood and obliged.

This was a business application not real time.
I then went on to skip through o'reillys to find out how to use it.

I found out the limitations of enumeration type quite quickly.

Thank you.

EJB and Java Beans don't have anything to do each with the other. Java Beans
are a specification to allow visual programming and component development
(so u can connect Java Beans from different vendors without knowing their
implementation). EJBs are a specification for distributed objects. It
defines what services should an Application Server -or a container- offer to
developers (transactions, security, naming, ...) so they can focus on other
aspects of developement.

Hope it helps Amine

Hi.
Difference b/w Java Bean and EJBs. Both Java Beans and EJBs are component
models. Java Bean is intraprocess( a single process) where as EJB is
interprocess communication (communication between two processes). EJBs need
to be deployed and need a special runtime env where as Java Beans don't need
it. EJBs are for the middle tier where as Java beans are usually developed
for the front end interface like buttons.
Books: Enter Java Beans (Orielly Series) and Mastring Enterprise Java Beans
by ED Roman.
