These tests are more like unit tests to make sure that once a bug is
discovered and fixed, it is no longer introduced. It is similar to watchdog
but the intent is that this suite be extendable to cover all tomcat related
features, whether they are spec related or not.

If you download the source, you can build the tests starting from the top of
the source directory like this:
    cd tester
    ant deploy-main

Restart Tomcat 4.0 and run the tests like this:

    $CATALINA_HOME/bin/tester.sh
